IBRAD Karma Experiential Learning Resource Centre

Transforming Hearts, Minds, and Ecosystem

The IBRAD Karma Experiential Learning Resource Centre goes beyond conventional skill development.

Our mission is not only to equip individuals with tools for economic growth but also to nurture the heart, mind, and ecosystem for Social Resilience. We believe that true development is not the progress of isolated parts, but the flourishing of the entire socio-ecological ecosystem.

Public functionaries are the backbone of our nation’s development. They are exceptionally knowledgeable, deeply dedicated, and guided by the principles of public policy and law. Yet, many face the challenge of working in silos—implementing projects for communities rather than with them.

Through research, training, and collaborative action, we prepare individuals and their teams to become facilitators of resilience, ensuring that social and ecological dimensions grow together in harmony.

This is learning with a deeper purpose — from skills to wisdom, from individuals to ecosystems, from survival to sustainable living
This platform is designed to support a new journey of transformation. It is not about quick relief or acting as saviours. Instead, it is about cultivating the wisdom to first understand the natural ecosystems and the social institutions that shape community life. True development happens when public functionaries connect with people emotionally, respect their knowledge, and involve them as partners rather than beneficiaries.

Through case studies, training modules, research materials, and practical tools, this Learning Resource Centre will help public servants reimagine their roles as facilitators of change. The focus is on building resilient communities, rooted in socio-ecological balance, where government efforts and community strengths come together for sustainable development.

Here, learning is not only about what to do but also about how to do it—with empathy, respect, and partnership.

Welcome

IBRAD Experiential Learning Resource Centre for Transforming Public Functionaries

IBRAD Centre of Excellence is a dedicated platform for building the capacities of public functionaries and community leaders. Our mission is to strengthen the ability of committed officers, Panchayat leaders, and grassroots workers to go beyond silos—connecting with communities as partners, not beneficiaries.

We provide learning resources and training in socio-ecological approaches that help functionaries understand the natural ecosystems and social institutions before initiating interventions. By doing so, we move away from quick relief measures toward sustainable, community-led Socio-Ecological Resilience

Why IBRAD Karma Experiential Learning Resource Centre ?

At KLIRC, we believe transformation begins within. True resilience comes not from skills alone, but from the awakening of heart and mind, beyond self. Our programmes help individuals and their teams cultivate values, empathy, and collaboration — leading to socio-ecological harmony and resilience .

What We Offer

The Changing Role of Public Functionaries

Traditionally, public functionaries—though highly intelligent, dedicated, and committed to public policy—have worked in silos, often acting as saviours who provide services and benefits to tribal communities. At the same time, tribal populations have been culturally conditioned to expect aid and support from the government.

The new paradigm requires a shift:

This transformation is not merely technical. It requires a change of heart and mind. Public functionaries must learn to walk with the communities, respect indigenous wisdom, and build genuine partnerships.

Expected Outcomes

Join us in shaping a new paradigm of governance — where communities are not recipients, but co-creators of their own development.
